The Return

To some February means love, romance, and time with your one and only, but to me it only represents one thing, that would be the return of life. As my yard begins to warm and the light lingers longer upon my face I feel a steady growing ease of breath returning to my soul. Early spring is a time for kindness and warmth. Showers change from frozen white lace to clean wet drops of remembrance of better days in the sun. So I say 'welcome home its wonderful to see you again....

A Quiet New Beginning

Here is a lovely January sky as seen from my balcony.
I have been lucky enough to see many sunsets all over and Utah's January skies are still the most gorgeous.
This balcony has been my place of solace and joy for the past 5 years.
I am so thankful for my home and the peace it gives me. Just trying to count my blessings for the New Year. Perhaps this beauty will lighten your path as well.

one last word
I just thought I would add alittle something it being the last day of 2008. Its been a hard year for me. Changes come to me in bunches and I am never sure if thats a good thing or bad. I do know its been a test of my stamina. From a new boss at work to the apparent loss of a dear dear person who I thought would stay with me until the end of life it has been a long dusty ride. There have been new things from carpet to a hairdo and old frustrations. I wished I had some great quote or sage words but all I can ever come up with is "It is what it is". What it lacks in originality it makes up for in finality so I suppose it wll do. For now... it is enough.
MY BROWN BOYS
Lets clear up the reason for the name of my blog. Let me introduce my brown boys Rusty and Cooper. Those dewy brown eyes belong to Cooper and the cute pink nose is Rusty's. They are dachshaunds. You will be seeing and hearing more of them as time goes by because they take up 80% of my life. Just kidding... but I do love em. While Rusty is nervous energetic and athletic Cooper is calm easy and loves potato chips. LOL. They are good boys and a good addition to our household.
